I hope you're all keeping well and enjoying some summer sunshine. It's a beautiful, warm sunny day here today, and I have a suitably bright, summery card to share with you.
Over on the Some Odd Girl blog there is a sketch challenge, you can find it here.
I recently bought some lovely papers and the Some Odd Girl, Bicycle Kaylee digi stamp so I used them to create this -
I've tried to keep to the sketch challenge, whilst editing a little to fit my design.
I coloured Kaylee with my promarkers, using Ivory, Blush, Satin and Dusky Pink for her skin. Her hair is coloured with Cocoa, Cinnamon and Sandstone. Her dress is coloured using Honeycomb and Gold and for her top I used Leaf Green and Pastel Green. I coloured the bicycle using Poppy Red and Lipstick Red.
I added a rainbow, which was a free download from The Crafty Nomad. I also coloured the rainbow with my Promarkers.
I added a layer of Sakura Clear Glaze to Kaylee's eyes, her bicycle and the rainbow to give them extra depth and shine when they catch the light-
I finished the card with a length of silver organza ribbon and a sentiment from a Lili of the Valley stamp set. Inside the card, I added another, smaller rainbow, coloured in the same way as the one on the front -
I hope you like my summery SOG card ...
Thanks for stopping by,
