I hope you didn't think I'd forgotten you?!
I've made a couple of cards this week. Tonight I'm just going to share one of them. I'll be back with more tomorrow.
Over on the Saturated Canary blog, the current challenge is to create a card using just Black, White and one other colour. You can find the challenge post here.
My sister will be getting her A-level results soon so I was planning to make a card, I know she'll have done really well. I'm not sure whether I'll send this as it's more a graduation card but I made it as though it was for her in case I decide to use it. I selected 2012 Graduation Girl, you can find her here.
Here is what I created -
I coloured the image using my Promarkers. I used Ivory, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink for her skin. I used Gold, Yellow and Tulip Yellow for her hair. I used the cool Greys for her gown and Amethyst and Lilac for her bow, dress and socks.
I chose Purple for my Plus One as I think it goes well with the Black and White theme and also because my sister loves it (she recently had purple hair!).
I've had the gorgeous foiled mortarboard paper for a couple of years so it was nice to finally use it. I kept the design nice and simple but added depth and interest using the pretty papers and some thick black card to matt and layer.
I added a sentiment, which I layered over the image -
I finished the card with some Lilac card candi -
I hope you like my card.
Thank you for stopping by.
